Personality:
Initially, she may seem cold and unapproachable, but once she is used to others being near her, she will warm up and open up. She doesn't converse easily with strangers, and when she does, it isn't for long. When she's not on duty, she can be very fun and playful, never afraid to tell a good-hearted joke. But when she is doing something, that's when she is best left alone. She is extremely vigilant and will not let anything suspicious escape her sight. If she suspects anything is wrong, she will tell the Alpha about it, regardless of any personal consequence she might suffer. One of her favorite past times is singing, and she has been known to whip the whole pack up into song if the Alphas will permit it.
History:
Mono never had an easy lout in life. She was an Omega in her old pack, and everyone treated her as if she were dead. They always blamed her for their troubles, and it is because of these constant insults and occasional attacks she developed her coldness towards strangers. Eventually, she was kicked out when she accidentally cost the pack one too many a moose during a hunt. Several months later, she wandered into Druid territory, nothing but a lupine skeleton with white felt stretched across it. She was found, unconscious and very near death, next to a river.
Mononoke awoke days later, significantly healed and surrounded by many other wolves. Recalling her past experiences with her old pack, she leapt up to her paws and snarled, baring her plaque-covered teeth and backing away into the corner, terrified. The Alphas soon managed to calm her, and she started to trust them. She began showing her gratitude by tracking down food and water during times of hardness as well as defending the pack from any unwelcome guests. She also managed to better perfect her hunting skills. One day, when she managed to defend the pack from a bear attack, she was made a Sentinel.
Fighting Strategy:
Mono depends on her speed and sharp claws to help gain an advantage over others. She is also very agile, but she doesn't take advantage of this as often as she should. Her physical strength is somewhat lacking, so she prefers to aim for sensitive areas (eyes, stomach, groin, etc.) to at least stun her enemy so she can run to get help, if needed.
Appearance:
She is a slim wolf, with a dainty snout and long, bushy fur covering her body. Her fur is a blinding snow-white, but she can use dirt to make it less noticeable if need-be. Her eyes are a pale, luminescent crimson, and her claws and teeth are unusually long and sharp. Her tail is very long, so long it always brushes the ground. When she walks, she has a distinctive slight limp, which is a lingering side-effect from a leg injury she suffered as a pup.
Sample Post:
It was a cold, moonlit night. The wind whispered softly through the trees and grass, raising fallen leaves up into it's dance. The mist from the waterfall drifted eerily along with the wind, like the smoke from a campfire. The full moon stared at the scene, casting it's silver glow upon everything. A single white wolf, Mononoke, was perched on a cliff overlooking the scene. Her ears were pricked and her red eyes scanned the area vigilantly.
She knew she had to be extra vigilant tonight. A cougar had recently moved into the area, and it was making a habit of stealing prey from the Druid hunters. When they tried to defend their prey, the mountain cat attacked them, killing one of them and wounding the others. Mononoke kept a very sharp eye out, searching for any sign of movement or amber eyes in the foliage. Her fur began to bristle, and a low growl rose to her throat. She rose to her feet and bared her teeth, exposing their sharp edges.
A twig snapped nearby, and she whipped around, her soft growl quickly morphing into a loud snarl. Her ears pinned back and she made a challenging bark at whatever was in the bushes. A pair of golden eyes glared back at her, then turned back into the forest. Mono knew full well that it was no wolf. The cougar had appeared! She unleashed a loud, piercing warning howl into the air, which carried for miles around...
