Changers
[/center]Changers are humans whose spirit has been bonded with the spirit of a wolf inside of them. The human spirit and wolf spirit are separate, but co-exist together within one soul. To make it easier to understand think of it as two spirits trapped in one body. But Changers are born with their wolf spirit. There are extremely rare occasions where the wolf spirit will not reveal themselves until later on in the Changer's life. The wolf's spirit is normally known as the Bond Wolf or the Wolf Spirit. Changers have enhanced senses and their Bond Wolf can sense things emotionally, physically, or spiritually that the Changer may not. The only exception to this is if the Changer is dealing with another Changer who is quite skilled at hiding their true emotions. The two are closer than friends. The Bond Wolf is perhaps the only one who knows everything about their Changer, and is the only one in whom the Changer can fully trust. There are times when the Changer and its Bond Wolf may not agree, but the Changer and its Bond Wolf are always loyal to each other.
Becoming a Changer is not hereditary. Though it seems like it may be because most of the time a Changer's offspring is a Changer as well.
Two different spirits, therefore two different personalities, emotions, and appearances, but the same gender. The Changer's personality and it's Bond Wolf's personality are compatible, with a few differences. And the Bond Wolf is normally more aggressive. From birth the Changer must learn to control their Spirit Wolf, and only has control over it, some what, while in human form. Once they transform then their Spirit Wolf takes over. Though the emotions of the Bond Wolf can affect the emotions of the Changer. With appearance the Changer may have dark eyes and blond hair, but their wolf form is black fur and blue eyes. The hair/fur color can even be the same, but the eyes are never the same color. This is the reason that the eyes are the Changer's significant feature. When a Changer may be emotionally aroused, upset, or anything of that sort then there are times when the Bond Wolf might, as you say, "come out" and the Changer's eyes are changed to the color of their Spirit Wolf's. The eye change only lasts as long as the Changer allows their Spirit Wolf to be in control.
The reason why Bond Wolf is another name for the Wolf Spirit is not only because of their bond with their Changer, but also because Bond Wolves greatly esteem deep bonds with others. Especially their mate, which is why they mate for life. A Changer's Bond Wolf will never share it's thoughts with anyone else, except for it's mate, and very seldom a family member or a close friend. The bond between the Changer and it's mate becomes so strong that the Changer's mate, regardless of it's species, will soon be able to sense the Changer's emotions and some times thoughts if the Changer doesn't block them. Though mating for Changers is a bit mysterious and difficult to understand. For example: The Spirit Wolf inside of a Changer will automatically create an irrevocable and requited bond with the one that they know would be the best match for them, regardless of whether their Changer thinks so or not. Say a Changer's Bond Wolf has created a match with some one whom the Changer does not like. (Though this seldom happens.) The Changer has the option of becoming mates with that person or not. If the Changer doesn't and becomes mates with some one that they approve of then the relationship becomes very weak and unstable because the Changer's Bond Wolf is constantly fighting against it and will refuse to open itself to the one the Changer has been mated with. This is not usually done, because whenever something like this happens then the Changer will try to get to know the person that their Spirit Wolf has bonded them with to make sure that they are making the right choice of not accepting that person as their true mate. And in the end the Changer ends up accepting that person as their true mate because they've fallen in love with them. Changers don't necessarily mate other Changers. There have been times when the Changer's Spirit Wolf will create the bond with a human or even a wolf.
Okay.. I've tried explaining this to the best of my ability. I'm sorry that it might be kind of confusing, but don't hesitate to ask me any questions.
